All in all the hotel is good enough if you’re going shopping at la plaza mall. The rooms are not the most luxurious but they work. I highly recommend having breakfast at the ihop that is close to it and dinner at buffalo wings and rings that is across the street.
La Copa was highly recommended by some friends that stayed here for an extended period of time last year. Really nice hotel overall. Rooms are updated and clean. The pool area is very nice. Great Wifi for those that like to work remotely.
Planned an overnight shopping spree to La Plaza mall and this hotel/motel is literally next door to Macy's. Quiet and old-school, I appreciated their price and the convenience of walking to the mall. Nice trees. A pool that was not filled. Check-in was fairly smooth although the clerk made us wait for a ground floor room when it was clear the motel was hardly filled.
Great hotel close everything and best part is the mall is literally behind you. Rooms were clean and well kept, service was top notch and super helpful. Pool was nice and big and well maintained. 5/5 would recommend
Stayed here during Hurricane Harvey. I have a pet, this is a pet friendly hotel. Nice pool with continental breakfast with Belgium waffles. Room was clean and older room with walk in shower. Rooms includes microwave, refrigerator, iron, ironing board, hair dryer and free WiFi. Staff very nice. Located on 10 th street next to mall and lots of restaurants near by. Never needed to leave 10 th street. I will stay here everytime I come to McAllen. Very affordable.
Rooms are Super Clean. Staff is Helpful and Friendly. Best part was the Pool Area. There Breakfast is Decent very Limited.

My Experience at La Copa Hotel was the Best! This was our First time in McAllen for the Games of Texas & I was Blessed with the Price, Location, Service & Friendliness of the Staff. This is my New Stay Spot for whenever I travel back to McAllen Tx. The Service is Outstanding, the Staff are Amazing & House Keeping are True Troopers. Great Job on Clean Fresh Rooms.
